I see Aston have made more workers redundant and now they are only building 45 cars a week in total at Gaydon and more talk of it all moving to Uli's favourite factory in Austria think the writings on the wall

Stop trolling.

You have made 14 posts in 16 months. Not a single post has been on any other subject.

Based on location, and previous posts, I'd guess a former employee with a grudge.

Regardless, the Rapide should be built in the UK.

If "jochen" is right then its a great shame for anyone in today's climate. We all want AM to be successful building cars in the UK, but not too many! Agree the Rapide should be built here.

i remember this guy from last year and he really has got a voodoo doll of dr. bez.i seem to remember a little discussion about the basic laws of economics such as supply and demand.if the guy was made redundant when the economy took a downturn i feel for him but would have hoped he had got on with his life by now and put it behind him.

Manufacturing firms hire and fire all the time due to the demand for their products at the time.

That is still four times more cars as Morgan make, who have been in business 100 years....remember, we are in the worst recession in living memory and an Aston is hardly an essential purchase.

Less of an essential purchase if the Rapide is going to be made in Austria. If it were to be built here in the UK I would have no hesitation about buying one. As is stands, I have no intention of buying an Austrian built Aston and will spend my money on a Bentley instead.

well you wont have much fun with an early 90's Bentley........you might with a modern GT which for all intent is German and nothing wrong with that......

Do we know why Aston want to move production of the Rapide to Austria? Surely wages are higher there than in the UK?

Yes, I'm sure footballers and orange people in Cheshire are enjoying them already.
