Part Question...

Went to wash the car today and found that the little piece of plastic (triangular in shape)
from the light cluster is missing, picture below.



Is it possible to buy this as a single piece and would it need to be painted?

There is nothing behind there so wasn't sure if thats what it was.
If it is the light washer how could the entire unit come out? would this
be a warrenty item?

Had a closer look at the other side and yes it is the headlight washer but I can't
figure out how the whole unit could come out? there is nothing at all left in the space
even the spring and tubing has all disappeared.

Hi lucky, i suspect that your car is not fitted with the HID system if this is the case then headlamp washers are not fitted and the black piece is just a cover, speak to your dealer as it should not just fall off, i am pretty sure they will sort it for you, don't worry about painting as they are all gloss black,

Thanks rick, the car is fitted with the HID(xenon's) and from what i can see through the gap
on the other one it has some tubing and a spring from the unit going to a part on the car.
Just amazed the whole unit could just come off.

you obviously have some of the specialist upgrades from mi5 a secret department of DMS, where the cover and associated components eject to allow the automatic deployment of a secret device to rid the fast lane on the motorway of everything that does not bear the Aston martin emblem, and automatically make the car safe from all known speeding and surveillance devices, ( a cautionary note DO NOT mention this to xxxAngelxxx as this device is only available in the uk)
