Having been down the same route a few months back, a week of ownership will settle the nerves and then it just gets better. 3,000 miles in as many months, each one better than the last. Only concern is the number of miles I am putting on it. Hey it was designed to be driven.
Congrats on a beautiful purchase and enjoy.

wow, i am surprised mate! i find it an absolutely planted joy to drive.however i can sort of see where you are coming from if youy are used to the audi.my sister has an a4 and after a few hours in this getting back into mine feels like the clutch is much heavier.10 mins of driving and this has evaporated though.
Please dont take this the wrong way but it sounds like you are a bit frightened of the Aston. Understandable as it is a powerful car but needs respect, not fear. Even though I had two Tuscans I always thought they were trying to kill me. I dont get that at all with my V8V, even in the wet.
My car is my everyday drive and even coming from an auto BMW, I dont notice the clutch being heavy.I spend a lot of time in stop start traffic, I still find the handbrake a bit of a pain but can honestly say adore driving this car more than any I have owned.
Its your car, your choice, but have you considered a one on one drivers day course? I am sure there must be some about. It might just put your mind at rest on what the car is safely capable of and settle any doubts.
Such a shame to have so little time to experience the cars potential but good luck.
Oh, and if I am way off the mark, I sincerely apologise and will mind my own business.

di, i too was a tuscan man( had a mk1 and mk2s), just putting 2 and 2 together but a few years ago i assume it was you with the topaz blue tuscan on the cover of sprint magazine?? just curious but what got you out of tvr ? for me it was the appalling quality of my last car coupled, admittedly, with an overwhelming need to get into aston ownershipMy car is my everyday drive and even coming from an auto BMW, I dont notice the clutch being heavy.I spend a lot of time in stop start traffic, I still find the handbrake a bit of a pain but can honestly say adore driving this car more than any I have owned.

Blimey you have a good memory. Yes that was my MK2 on the cover of Sprint. After 5 fantastic years of Tuscan ownership I changed jobs. My cars are daily drivers and that now involves heavy rush hour traffic every day. I had rev issues with it stalling a lot and just couldnt trust the Tuscan to get me from A-B reliably.
I changed completely and got a 335 MSport convertible. A really great car but did nothing for me. My dream was alway an Aston, and after a long chat with an understanding OH we pushed the boat out to achieve it.
So far one of the best decisions we ever made.
