Yours looks good, much more presentable. Is the 3/4 size legal? I was going to fit a full size plate lower down direct to the bumper so it overhung the oil cooler. Just don't want the feds to pull me up for nothing as i already have been once in 3 days of ownership!
the font is a legal one, Ive had that on for 3 years, and most of my other sportscars also for the last 6 years, 150K miles plus of motoring, never been botheredif you just have a 3/4 plate with *legal* font then you are fine - usually the coppers have better things to do than to argue that the letters are 10mm too short or such like
..its just stuck on with velcro/double sided tape, whichever I have to hand at the time
..its common, lots of us on here have done it...

She looks lovely...welcome to the club! Watch out for stone chips, I would say the second 'mod' should be (after pulling F22) to get some stone guards (mud flaps) for the front wheel area, this reduces the stone chips on those lovely black rear arches. I got mine from the dealer and fitted them myself in 10 mins or so...well worth it.
Personally, I like the plates (and the car) as 'god' intended, not a fan of moving stuff like that around.

Surely it's NOT legal if the font is too small? With so many ANPR cameras around these days you're much more likely to get caught now I think.if you just have a 3/4 plate with *legal* font then you are fine - usually the coppers have better things to do than to argue that the letters are 10mm too short or such like
I meant the the font is legal e.g. the font is the authorised font, just in 3/4 size
Ive been through quite afew ANPRs just fine, lived down South for 10 years, commuted 100 miles + a day, never been bothered, I have mates that are coppers, ive parked outside Police stations, Ive been nicked for speeding in a car with a 3/4 plate and still not been bothered ...I dont 3/4 sized plates with the legal 'style' lettering dont look out of place on most sportscars
...so I dont bother worrying about it, its usually the first thing I do when I change cars - get some new plates, with GB on them (I go abroad a lot) and 3/4 front one

Thanks for the info Mark. Even the factory have used smaller plates, attached is a photo of a beautiful DB7 Zagato that I took at Works Service. With that big grille on the Zagato any plate would have spoiled it so they've gone for a small stick on.
This is one point where most modern car designers fall down - they don't think about where the front plate will go and what effect it will have on the "face" of the car. Alfas are a prime example where the front plate is stuck off to one side - maybe that's why Italian front number plates are so small
regards all, Lord Brett

now that looks nice
you are right - who wants to spoil that lovely grille with a 5mph impact bumper/huge number plate holder ...not me
I have a friend whos had a 3/4 sized sticky one on the front of his Elise for 8 years now
I really think with all the illegal, unreadable fonts and mis spaced plates out there now, that if you just have it "looking right", but a bit smaller, the turn a blind eye to it
