DBS Volante - what colour is this ?
Discussion
That is quite stunning. It's a pity that Aston's Configurator doesn't give a more accurate idea of colour. I would never have guessed that Amethyst Red would have looked as good as that.
Aston used to have another colour called Amethyst, back in 1969, but it was totally different, a pale metalllic mauve, but very attractive. They had trouble with it micro blistering (I think) and withdrew it.

Looks the mutts nuts
Actually went onto the Aston configurator last night and wasn't cconvinced it was Amethyst Red on the site. Glad to know what it actually is
Looks great! Finally a new Aston that is not silver/grey/black with black leather!
Couldn't agree more - why are all Astons shades on grey these days with black leather interiors? - Silver is just light grey and black is just a very dark grey.
And before everyone starts on me mine is Meterorite with black interior, so I know I am already disagreeing with my own argument but is it is good to see an Aston in a colour instead of grey

Because no-one wants to actually buy a used one in any of the more imaginative colours and you get an even bigger kick in the nuts come trade-in time.Edited by whoami on Thursday 20th August 22:11
