I am having a hood cover made up for my vantage volante by a trimmer as the car did'nt come with one. I found out that they were an optional extra, although why someone who spends the best part of 100k on a car then is to tight to spend another £900 is dificult to understand. Anyway, my trimmer wants to know how the hood is held in place along the back. Obviously it is studded at the front, but could someone post a picture up of the method used by A.M to secure the hood cover at the back. Many thanks.
Hi,
If you havent already, register here: http://www.amoc.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&a...
Use the Bloxham section. If it's DB7, someone there will have pics or know the answer.
Mark.

I don't have a picture to hand, but it is secured using 4 thin, plastic fins, 2 along the back and 2 down the sides. These slide under the folded hood. It's not the best system in the world! Can't post a pic at the moment, although I'm sure someone will on the AMOC website if you post there. You could always pop along to a meeting as well as I'm sure someone will show you theirs. Or if you fancy popping up to Cambs I can show you mine!
Don't forget to ensure the two loops which fit over the roof mechanism handles are added - these may just stop you losing the cover...
