Contemplating changing to the N400 clear rear set up. Apologies if discussed before but is this a DIY project or a dealer mod? And approx cost.

Thanks

Hi with your car being an 08 they are a direct replacement, the kit retails at £905.00 including the vat, and as an indication of how difficult to fit each lamp takes about 20 minutes, if you decide to get some yourself i can talk you through the fitting procedure

Regards Rick

Hi Rick

Was going to pm you direct but hadnt seen you here for a short while. In your opinion is this a worthwhile mod or am I devaluing the car? I am undecided. I do like the clear lens but dont want to get into faffing around with an already beautiful car.

For that sort of money it may be worth a trip up to Derby

Hi Di, i am always floating about wink, just been a busy month with moving etc, so if ever I can help don't hesitate to drop me an email,

As for a worthwhile upgrade, every Aston has something different about it, some love the wood fascia others hate it and prefer piano black or the carbon effect, the same can be said about the lights, After servicing, upgrades are the next most popular query,so i believe most Aston Martin owners consider at least one change or upgrade with about 50% of the enquiries booking in with us so upgrades are quite popular, with quite a few people not knowing what is available, so even after you buy one it can be tailored to what you like, i do not think the genuine modifications and upgrades devalue the car, it is down to personal preference, as when you buy one,

regards Rick

Thanks Rick

Food for thought. To save wasting PH space perhaps you could pm me with how much notice you need to book in. If mods are stock items etc.

Sorry ladyP not keen on them, unless the car is dark black or light silver with the centres painted to match exterior colour (which they aren't as standard), 1k buys some rather tasty other extras, but as ever each to their own so if you like them then go for it!

Hmmm Grant, see what you mean. I was tempted after looking at the pics of Adam2S car which is rather lovely. May have to give this some more thought. scratchchin

Di,

have a look on Flickr for pics of Lightning Silver N400 roadsters to give you and idea.

e.g.
Like this one

also the Aston Martin Pool on flickr has some amazing shots of a variety of cars. There are some talented photographers submitting to this.

Personally, I think they look great on Black, Grey and Silver cars (and Orange too)

Rich.

Thanks for that Rich.

I do agree they look great on the N400. Fantastic pics too. Now I am unsure again. Being a Gemini doesnt help.

If you are coming to the Cotswolds meet I can see yours and have a chat. thumbup
