Thankyou sir I am seriously amazed at the difference in quality between this and my 911, so much to the point that I said to the dealer that sitting back in my 911 felt like it was a pile of c%%p, I seriously feel honoured to be the owner of this car.

See you back in a porker within 12 months, my neigbour has just bought a Aston and within a week was saying it is so boring he wishes he had never changed from his TVR. The Aston is a pretty car, but like women you need a conversation now and again.

Oh and your mates taking the piss calling you James, gets annoying too biggrin

Lovely. Enjoy. smile Oh, and ignore marlinmunro's sour little post - there's always someone jealous enough to try to spoil your pleasure at what is an exciting time. Strangley they're nearly always the ones who say they've 'got a mate' or in this case 'a neighbour' who's got one, which tells you all really...............

Top effort, Ghecko! I am sure you'll have a lot of fun with your new toy.

Ignore the comments by marlinmunro - tossers like him should stick to train-spotting as he clearly does not have a clue what he is talking about.

I've had a Chimaera, then 911. In my opinion, the Aston is as well built as the Porsche, and as exciting as the TVR. I did find the 911 a BIG improvement over the TVR interms of dynamic ability and solidness (NVH), but I always missed the soundtrack and bespoke touches. I believe the Aston really delivers the best of both worlds.

Savour the anticipation. cloud9

Can someone explain. WHY when someone posts - rightly excitedly - about their first Aston a couple of people have to post negative/rude comments? Mind you, one of them is called Kevin and seems to know a lot about Mondeos..................

Again. Congrats.

Some people do have mates and neigbours, I agree these quotes can be spurious but in this case it is true. I don't have any mates because true to piston head form I am a tosser biggrin

my first aston was about 3 yrs ago. absolute mint 2003 db7, have owned porsche and loads of tvr but the day i turned up to get it was a proper deathbed memory.compared to when i picked up my v8v brand new it was still more exciting.my v8 ,dynamically, is so much better but that first starter button push and that emblem on the steering wheel and that 6 ltr v12 bark.wow.my pal drives a current 911 and it just leaves me cold.i could never see myself driving anything else now.
