New member and DB9 questions
Discussion
Hi There!
New to the site, no Aston as yet (DMS'd 635d, ML63 and a long term plan to get an Elise for fun (although been planning such for over a year....new baby and new house got in the way!)
Anyway - question one. We've been looking for a new car for my wife ever since hers was written off a couple of months ago. A 4 seater soft-top was her wish.
She'd hinted, and banged on about a DB9 soft-top for ages but i'd pushed the common sense argument and steered her towards a 335i convertible.
However, I've been offered a couple of 3-4 year old DB9s at not much over £50k, and a new 335i convertible would probably not only cost more, but would depreciate FAR more in the next 2-3 years.
Advantage Aston. Running costs will be higher, but not as much as the depreciation Vs the beemer (hopefully!). Then there is the car itself, and the "darling shall we take the Aston" side of ownership.
So - any ownership tales??
And ultimately, would we be daft in getting her (or rather getting 'US') a DB9?....or even dafter for passing up the chance to have an Aston in the garage...?
Cheers

Take a close look at a rear-facing seat. They recline at an angle of over 45 degrees. This means they take up a lot more space lengthways than a front-facing seat. With a front-facing seat, you can have a three inch gap betwen back of front seat and squab for the child's legsto slip into. With a rear-facing seat, you would have to have the front seat several inches further forward. That would require a small driver or passenger.
(is it my imagination by the way or is the passenger footwell shorter?)

I have a 5 month old baby and have tried several rear facing seats in the back.....you cant fit it in.........trust me you cant, there just aint enough room..........tell your wife to get the bus and you have the DB9
Cheers. Our daughter is only just over 1kg away from fitting in a forward facing seat, so timing fits perfectly!Which forward facing have you tried? or haven't you?
