Hi - I've been lottering for a while and this is my first PH post.
I recently part ex'd a Lotus Exige against a new V8V Roadster.
The number plate on the Lotus was "UR 05LOW", which I thought looked quite good.
I've still got the plate registered to me, but I can't decide if it would look a bit too chavvie on an Aston or not.
Dunno why, but it feels as if the plate suited one car but not the other
Polite thoughts welcomed

IMO, it would look gimmicky, cocky and definitely inappropriate for an Aston. What would bother me more than anything would be the irresistible temptation it would put in front of every chav, boy racer type in a souped-up Astra. You can guarantee that every time you pull up in pole postion at the lights you'll be a magnet for every spotty, baseball cap wearing oik to pull alongside you and start rev'ing his pathetic little 1400cc wannabe drag racer. In between the blips on the throttle you'll have to tolerate the pounding of his over-powered sub-woofer and the associated rattling of the nuts and bolts which are all working loose under the persistent punishment of ghastly rap beat. Worst of all, people around you will think you're mates !

Asked her indoors (based on the fact she has more class than me) - verdict was too chavvy for an Aston

Just as well I didn't get on to 007 plates, Mr Bond. Seriously you have to have big cohonas to drive around with some of these plates on. I remember a red M3 convertible driven by a guy with flowing locks and ray bans - A5 TUD. I imagine they all attract attention in various ways, just not all of it wanted.
At the end of the day, whatever presses your ejector seat button
Slightly O/T,
Chris Evans "Magnificent 7" Ferraris were at Goodwood FOS; they all had private pates.
He has also had them all painted white, with the exception of the ultra-expensive 1960 James Coburn 250 California Spyder, which was Black. Registration number FER 1
Chris Evans BBC Blog
The 6 white cars were in a series (kind of) which I thought looked rather impressive seeing them drive up the hill consecutively.

Money can't buy class.
