better than new I would say, Ive never seen an AM dealer prep a car like that !

first thing I did with mine was get it into www.gtechniq.com and get it detailed + polymer coated, to it always looks like that smile

I drove it home and into the garage and under a cover - scared to even look at it.

Have always wondered how long the look lasts. Now and again I give mine the full auto-glym wash wax and glaze, but within a few days and a couple of rain showers it's like I didn't bother. So what's the diff when it's detailed, does it not suffer the same ? I'd hate to lob out the wedge and then have the same result

when its detailed it will still get mucky of course, and the wax will last a few months generally...thats why I went for the polymer stuff they use on yachts and planes - it lasts years instead

it makes it easier to clean, and when you do clean it, as long as you wash it properly and dry it off, it looks 95% the same as when it was first done ...had mine done over 2 years ago and very pleased with it - its a day job, about £350 ish I think

I must admit the mrs and I have been discussing Xmas pressies and birthday pressies and ,rather than buy the usual crap (What do you get the person who has everything?), I will be getting an annual day-detailing for the DB9.

Iv never had anyone do that before but I do admire the work they do. I figure I will get it done March/April time just in time for the summer season/car shows/holiday etc. The rest of the year I will persevere...

And you put a DBS grille on it you devil. All you need now is a set of summer wheels, you know, the five spoke 'facelift' jobs. Makes it so much easier to keep the wheels really clean, inside and out, when you have another set you can swap them over with.

The DB9 is the summer car only - it wont get used from Oct to May unless its a nice dry day. Funny really Ive been in the Aston for a few weeks now since I got it back and I miss the Merc actually to be specific I miss the 5.5 supercharged engine in the merc, its sooo addictive
