I'm on my third Aston and am anticipating that my fourth will be a Rapide now that we have a family. However, I am really not sure what to think about it being built in Austria. I'd be far more convinced to go for one if it was a Gaydon built car. There seems to be something just slightly iniquitous about Aston shedding a whole lot of jobs in England then building a new car overseas...

Magna builds the MB G-Class already and no one cares that its not build in Stuttgart/Fatherland...... right ? laugh

I tend to agree.

But I do wonder how it can possibly be cheaper or better to build them there than here. I guess the top brass think it must be, but why?

Government subsidies? Better workers?

btw Angel - I wasn't aware the G-class was meant to be a paragon of quality? Or was that the US built ones?

i speak about the old G-Class that is still build not the new G one made out of an ML wink btw i just drove my neighbours brand new old school G 500 AMG and its very cool smile
