after talking to some owners and getting some faq's i am thinking about putting together a downloadable pdf with the some common questions and helpful hints and tips, thinking of including pictures and diagrams to assist,

one issue with the V8 Vantage and the DB9 is that when the battery is flat you can not open the glove box, so where do most owners store there handbook? with all the info.

What i was thinking of including is battery charging, jump starting, reset procedures for the battery, windows and seats, clutch learn procedures, general topping up and checks, fuse 22,tyre pressures and general fluid specs,

the models covered will be the DB7 Vantage, Vanquish, V8 Vantage, DB9 and the new DBS,

i just wanted to gauge interest, as i do not want to spend a lot of time an effort it is of no use, is there other items you would like in it, there will probably regular updates as more information becomes relevant is pdf ok or do you require different formats, will you want it viewable on a mobile so file size could be an issue,

let me know what you think it will take a bit of time as all pictures etc and write ups will have to be done by me so as not infringe any copyrights,

xxangelxxx when does it do it cold or hot just on startup, can you localise the noise front or back, and have you a slight rattle when stationary from under the centre of the car,

you can hear it more when cold but then even if i had driven a while stopped the car and 3 hours later start it and it comes from the middle under the car - not from the engine bay..... frown

Sounds like a good idea to me too.

On a technical perspective, it might be better to post them up on a page on your web site. More readily searchable that way and gets people visiting your page wink

good idea murph also a i update and add information i will not need to let people know there is a new version, it will be easier to separate models onto separate pages, so that it is easier to find information, also seen your email and will reply shortly

Rick, great idea. How about including common items carried out under warranty and service bulletins? How can we help?

no problem i will add the most common issues and warranty items that are already in the public domain, i do not want to do a list of all known issues etc, as a perspective buyer could be put off by seeing a list of mainly niggles and minor items that only cover a few cars, what would be of help when i get the first drafts online just give me a review as to content, layout, is it too technical, or difficult to understand.

Will do.

If your other posts are anything to go by, I don't think you'll need to worry though.

Sounds like a very good idea to me thumbup

If possible a printable version alongside a web page would be most useful. I don't (usually) have a computer in my garage which is where I'm most likely to need the hints and tips but a searchable document has advantages too.

okay on my site i will have different pages for different cars a downloadable pdf file with a contact list so i can let people know when there has been an update the choice will be yours if you want to register or not, this contact form will only be used for the pdf and no other contact, i am open to suggestion as what content is required, the only issue i have with a wiki is that i am trying to keep it as factual as possible and with a wiki i do not have control over the content, but i can also add a suggestion form,
