This is just for fun. My garage HWM have just changed their fleet of loan vehicles, they did give out Land Rover Discovery's, this has recently changed to sporty little Alfa MiTo's. Quite a difference you would agree. I understand the idea of cross selling another vehicle but driving the Discovery away after parking up my V8 always seem strange. The Alfa is certainly alot more fun especially in Dynamic/sport mode.

What cars do your AM garages loan out?

Broughton's courtesy car last time was a Saab auto estate, an insult car if you ask me. Makes me consider an indie for servicing next time.

JCT600 in Leeds tend to give out 3 or 5 series Beemers. Ok, but a bit dull.

I got the C220d too, the new one. I was quite impressed with it, 700 miles in 5 days, just over one tank of diesel... perfect time for a loaner smile

It felt like driving around the west country in my sofa.

Yep. Tried to swap them over when they brought my car back but the factory (and their car!) seemed rather attached to it for some reason......... I've got a pic of the two cars side by side somewhere - I'll try to ferret it out.

My 4.7 went back to Broughtons for a couple of minor faults and they gave me a Passat, very disapointing and even more so when it had even been cleaned when i picked it up. Even Nissan went to that effort when I had a 350Z...

For the initial 1k service i got a Jag XJ. When it went in for the new gearbox (after just 1,100miles :-S) i was promised a Jag XF after I said there is no way I want to drive around in a Jag XType (eeuugh), but still ended up with the worlds most horrid Xtype... underpowered 2.5 estate with creame seats and walnut dash. I felt like a retired old boy and could have sworn I was getting the eye from the local grannies.

What i find interesting is that Aston garages don't seem to have a common policy? So far we have had everything from Land Rovers, Saabs, BMWs, Alfas, Mercs, Jags to Volvos and even a Ford Focus!
