Hi fellow owners!
I'm travelling to australia next year with my wife and baby for my best mates wedding.
Thing is, baby will be two years old when we go in March. I've just realised airport transfers might be a bit tricky if we don't have a child seat. My wife insists I should carry our priorifix onto the flight - I think she is bonkers..!
Have any of you been in a similar scenario? How did you get around it?

Lived in Australia for 20 years and have done this flight many times with my kids (as well as Sydney-SanFran etc). Never took a child seat (if we had a car, we hired a child seat at our destination) as they are a pain and, these days, very big.
I'd take a pram though so he/she can sleep/rest at the transfer. The cabin crew will take this on (in the hold - years ago you could take it on board) and get it off for your at each transfer/stop.
Having said that, last time I did this was at Christmas and my youngest was 14 months old. The airline mis-labelled the pram in Melbourne and they could not get it off in Kuala Lumpur (on the way home). My daughter was exhausted and the wait time for 6 hours! To cut a long story short I went to the customer service desk, complained vigorously and got into the lounge reserved for bus/first class. This had a bedroom with bed and cot, which meant Rhiannon could get some sleep!
