Hi Chaps,

Quick bit of advice from those in the know please. My dad's seriously considering a V8 Vantage - he's after a 4.7 and I came across this during a recent trip to JCT -

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1029934.htm

What do you chaps think of the car? Personally, I love the spec. but I'm not an Aston expert (I could tell you more about the DBR1 than I could about the DB9). Is the sports pack recommended? What about price? Do you think he ought to have a target price should he enter negotiations? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Andy

No doubt the experts will be along in a minute or two.

For what it's worth, imho as an enthusiastic admirer of these things:-

1. Meteorite is a fantastic colour.
2. Red brake calipers compliment this colour.
3. Personally I would want the manual, like this car, though many swear by the sportshift. I think in the end both are probably pretty good.
4. The Sport Handling Pack I hear is a must-have.

I would therefore find this car hard to fault. Good Luck.

Hi

Looks like a great car but for that price you can get a brand new one.

Best regards

Fantastic car, had a 4.7 for about 8 weeks now. Personally dont like the red calipers but each to their own, have silver myself. The Sports pack is an absolute must and having driven both, would only consider the manual box. All that said, its a beautiful car...

He had a quick drive on Sunday. The car is stunning and he seemed to like it. Assuming nobody else has snapped it up, he's going to take a longer run in a couple of weeks after he's back from holiday. Thanks for the comments, especially re the sports pack. Nice to get some comments from owners of these cars. What about price? There aren't many cars out there as a precedent that I can see, but I reckon it's about £93k list in that spec. so not bad...
