V8 Vantage in Evo magazine
Discussion
Evenin’ all,
How many of you have a V8 Vantage (current version)?
I would be very interested to hear your experiences, as I am currently writing a buyers guide for Evo magazine, so its an opportunity to tell the world (well, the world of Evo readers anyway) how wonderful, or otherwise, owning one of these cars can be.
Also, we are looking for an early example to photograph some time next week, anyone want their car to be famous? The shoot will probably be in a studio in Leighton Buzzard, so I suppose it suits people in north London or Bedfordshire best. Any takers?
Anyway, all comments on the V8 V are very welcome.
Cheers Chaps

Well thanks again, I now have a remarkable ammount of info to digest, thanks to those who replyed to my emails and to everyone who chipped in on this forum. Aston Martin owners certainly seem to be a friendly bunch!
The upshot of all this seems to be that although there have been some problems, generally they get sorted out efficiently and any niggles are outweighed by the joy of ownership. Its interesting to see how many cars are used as daily drivers and how they seem to respond well to regular use, unlike many other 'prestige' marques!
I belive the article is due to emerge in the issue after next, I will let you know if this changes and I look forward to your dissection of my conclusions!
Once again thanks very much.
Cheers

To be fair, all prestige marques do better being used IMO.
Also, if the earlier cars have been serviced properly, it's likely there will be none of the common issues in evidence any more as they'll all have been sorted...
One bit I missed in my mail too...the engines seem to free up a lot with use
