I am thinking about buying my 1st DB9.
Have found one for just over 40K with 45K miles on it.
Its just been serviced by Aston.

Have been a porsche man for years however very tempted by a 40K DB9.

Would appreciate if any of you people could point out to me a few things to watch for?

Also thinking of Running it to 60K then getting one with lower mileage, If I budget to sell it for 37K in 9-12monts do you reckon that about right?

Thanks for your help guys/gals

Got the DB9 now.. Is just fantastic very pleased.

Couple of questions which hopefully you guys can help with.

a) When I put my footdown and it kick's down. The car pulls a little to the right and the back end is twitchy. (Is this normal?)

b) The steering wheel does not have Stereo buttons or Cruise control. Can you swap the wheel for one with this then get it hooked up?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Get a full geometry check. You will have to ask the dealer about retrofitting a steering wheel. AFAIK the wheels only have controls for bluetooth module and cruise - the later cars have stereo controls integrated.

The db9 console is quite intuitive though - you will get used to feeling around the buttons and using the jog dial witha bit of practice...

Thanks Stan.
I have a feeling the tracking is slightly out. I am guessing thats the issue.

Still amasing drive. Sounds better than music!

Hi Rob,
I just bought my first Db9 too. Like you I was a bit hesitant & nervous about running costs & servicing, but having had it for 2 months, I'm absolutely over the moon. I just grin all the time when driving it - fantastic.
Fuse 22 comes out next time I'm home!!!!
I haven't had a twitchy rear end tho', just amazing massive acceleration - maybe I'm not trying hard enough!!?
