bluetooth problem
Discussion
Have similar problems with mine although in my case the answer button just does nothing. Mine is a MY08.
However I think it's actually the phone (Touch HD) rather than the car as my business partner has exactly the same problem (MY07 i think). Weirdly it did work for a while then stopped. Then I replaced the handset, it worked for a bit then just stopped again for no particular reason. Given up now.

sorry, I can't answer THAT question, but I thought it might be worth mentioning that if you're finding that the person on the other end of the line can't hear you very well, Aston will fit an extra mic.... for free, if it's under warranty.
I mentioned it in passing and they sorted it. Most kind.

doesn't look that bad tbh, its the same colour as my headlining, just a bit upset that it had to be done when it has a nice 'built' in option, how hard is it to test mic quality/location at design time?
will post a pic when i get dressed!
sorry for the hijack Zod!

As you say, why can't the original system work properly (as it seems to in every other car)?
Did they charge you for it?
Does it actually improve the quality of conversation on the system?
I think the std mic is stuck behind the alcantara type material on either the roof or the "sun visor". So would guess that this causes the issue.
I also wonder if they could have found a slightly slimmer mic and tucked it on top of the "sun visor", as the damn things are useless for their designed purpose. Or maybe something to fit where the round fitting cover is above the door...

the factory mic is in the console behind the mirror, the trim has holes in it so in theory should be ok, i presume the mic quality was crap in the first place.I think the std mic is stuck behind the alcantara type material on either the roof or the "sun visor". Wondered where it was.the factory mic is in the console behind the mirror, the trim has holes in it so in theory should be ok, i presume the mic quality was crap in the first place.
Doesn't seem like the most sensible place for it, but then I guess it avoids worrying about LHD/RHD etc perhaps.
I still think the guy who did the electronics on the car needs shooting.
