Rattle and squeak

Hi

I repeatedly read comments from owners that rattles/squeaks 'go with the territory' of these cars. Is this true or do most owners not suffer these problems? I ask because I am about to start seriously looking for a 2007/07 AMV8 and I HATE rattles/squeaks!

My partners always tell me I'm too anal about it (they cant hear them!) but I chase down each and every one until all I hear is road noise/engine and sterod (if I want to).

Both of my have rattled and squeaked.

You'll struggle to totally eliminate this.

Don't get one with Nav as that always rattles. Mine has had a few little rattles but nothing the dealer has not been able to sort out for me.

I'd happily get one with no satnav (as so many people say its rubbish) but most seem to have it, and it may be an issue come resale. I did notice a 2007/07 AMV8 for sale in standard spec (NO extra's) at £46,950 but dont know if this is a good deal.

i had squeaks coming from the rear when i went over a rough road or humpback bridge. was sorted by a dealer during a service and it's not there anymore.

i have no more "noticeable" squeaks and rattles. that doesn't mean they're not there is just means that i don't notice them.

don't let a few rattles put you off a beautiful motor!
