Fuel filler cap release
Discussion
After 2.5 years of faultless action my fuel filler cap release has given up the ghost !
Using the release in the boot is not too great a hardship and I can't be bothered to do the 40 mile drive just for that.
I have read all the threads on the topic, the flap is perfectly central to the apature etc, but in my case the plunger feels and sounds a bit "gritty/dusty" and seems a bit slow to release and return.
If it was my Land Rover I would have had the WD40 in there by now - which gets to the point of this topic by asking how do I get the left side boot lining out to get to the solenoid so I can give it a squirt to see if that improves matters for the time being ?
