V12Vantage pics

I think colour will be the key to making the most of the styling. It looks pretty nice in this colour but the vents could be enhanced or subdued according to taste by going for a lighter or darker colour.
personally I think a very dark green would be what I'd go for. I still can't decide whether to go for this or a DBS though. If only they had given this more power and a higher rev limit then the decision would have been easy. The early development cars were running 600bhp at 7000 revs and a redline of 7600. For me, mainly for the noise it would make, this would have been ideal. A V12 that stunning deserves more than 6800. Lambo's V12 revs to 8400!
ack for me - but I prefer to look stealthy
as for the revs - well just get a mild remap for £500 afterwards, up the revlimit and release another 90bhp too
I guess Aston have more onerous longetivity testing to comply with before they put a 3 year warranty on it ....as they are used a lot more as daily cars (unlike Italian stuff) the risk of lots of failures in warranty is higher, so they dont give us engines in such silly high states of tune
/seen the service intervals on a Lambo and what they need doing at each one? ...makes an Aston engine seem like a Toyota in comparison
//other than Simon from EVO, ever seen a 5 yr old 70K mile Lambo or Ferrari? ...im sure there are a few Vantages out there already touching that

You can get the vents painted.
IIRC, the 600bhp car was the concept and not the dev. cars ?
As for choosing between DBS and V12V, just drive them both, as alike they are not !! Don't be under the impression the V12V will just be a smaller DBS with the same characteristics, because you would be wrong if you did

for sure the V12V will be set up to go round corners better (and faster) but the DBS has some advantages too, like the option of 2+2 seating, and at the moment at least, a lower price. Equally, the rarity of the V12V should mean it will hold it's value better. As I said it's not an easy choice at the moment and I think Aston could have done more to make the choice easier, heck even the ability to rev just 200rpm more to 7k would probably have done it for me.
I still don't like the wheels either but that's pretty easily (if not cheaply) rectified.

I would go V12V all the way assuming you want a sporting driving experience. I am still extremely disappointed that I can't buy one in the U.S. It doesn't even qualify for Show and Display status. If anyone has an idea on how to get one in and registered let me know :-)
Some very rough photoshop fiddling:
yes I will do requests, within reason! The latter is an attempt at my tuscan colour - reflex charcoal. Aston will paint any colour you like but reflex charcoal is several hundred quid a litre. Does looks amazing though, and my dream colour for an aston.

have you had chance to drive a V12V then? IIRC, the 600bhp car was the concept and not the dev. cars ?

got any pics from the rear or rear 3/4s view?
The diffuser looks different to the V8V and the bootlid looks to flip up more - be interested to see what it looks like....
Or do I have to go buy evo or whatever mag? ;-)

...seems to have changed, substantially, from the initial showing at the Design Studio
