Has anyone gone generic on the RE050`s or does everyone stick to the AM009 version of the tyre ?

To be honest I think its only £50 a tyre diff and not worth the hassle but I was wondering

Hmm got the AM branded Potenzas down to £225 INC VAT about £75 cheaper than Aston - anyone better this for 2 rears ?

I thought so as well - the guy is a commercial tyre broker and got me MO (Merc) contis for £100 less than inchcape quoted recently.

I will doubly make sure they are AM009`s but is there a great difference ? its not as if were racing / high speed cruising near the limit

sounds about right - not all dealers are rip offs on tyres - had a full set fitted before at Grange for well under a grand

Are there any issues with the tyre pressure monitors if using an indie for tyres ? from reading the handbook it seems an overly complicated system

not at all ...its just a regular OEM system, just that its not integrated into the cars electronics like a lot og German stuff....so its actually simpler - you could buy the same system aftermarket yourself and fit it at home quite easily
