I've had my second V8V for 10 months now and haven't had time to get any decent(ish!) shots of her after a good wash today I thought I'd take the camera on the "brake drying" run! smile Sunsets seem to bring out the best of the colour ...

Great colour - I thought it would be too bling for an Aston but it works . Is that a standard colour or a special order ?

It's exclusive to the N400 and is called Karrussell Orange. The N400 only came in three colours - this one and a special silver and black with only 26 orange coupes built (5 of which are in the UK.

The photos don't show it but there is a distinct goldish fleck in it. Sadly, anything other than seeing in the flesh just doesn't do the colour justice!

Thanks for the positive comments.

I was actually a bit apprehensive when I picked her up - I had seen her in the showroom but wasn't entrely sure as to how the colour would be received by other AM owners! Luckily it has all been positive so far! biggrin

I must admit that I was more sure of the Toro Red when I ordered her predecessor! (below)

Not sure where this car is now - she is wearing her original number of FH06 CXV I think ....

may I kindly suggest a wee mod? Get rid of that awful big number plat box and get a smaller one. Your dealer should be able to do this very easily.

Also - I say someone else has just bought one of these from AM in sevenoaks....

Funny you should mention that as I plan to do just that. Ridiculously big isn't it?!

Also nice to know there is one in Sevenoaks. That's three I know of - mine, one in Cheshire and the Sevenoaks one. Just two more to find! biggrin

As I understand it, AM have just sold theirs also too.

What is the alternative number plate holder...

I took my big holder off yesterday and just mounted the plate directly on to the bumper... you do something else?

Halfords kind of places do a perfectly acceptable number plate surround, black plastic, will take a pic in a minute.

couldn't believe the over engineered thing!, 4 x metal studs, steel plate etc!

That was my thought - they do simple black plastic lipped surrounds that should fit, like this one

That is so much better and exactly what I am looking for. Where did you get it from?

I've just tried Halfords and it seems they've stopped doing plain black. They just do shiny gold, blue, silver, fake carbon ... and pink!! I guess black wasn't chavy enough ... rolleyes

Couple of foam sticky pads do the job just fine. Cheaper and lighter still.
