AfaIk, Eibach and HR suspension offering springs for a fraction of the price of the factory sports pack, but don't know if these kits are any good...?

Neither option is cheap but................
As Bogie says you won't go far wrong with the official Sports Pack option, comes with sexy new light weight wheels & sharpens up the handling while also improving the ride... its much more settled & only slightly harsher.
The Prodrive is more hardcore & offers switchable dampers, personally I think the factory option suits the car better, but you can always test drive both and decide for yourself.

yeah - how many weeks did they spend with chassis engineers developing them though? ..thats what counts...not what brand they are, or how many knobs they have on them to twiddle with bogie said:

I can get you a Nitron one way kit, with 30% stiffer than stock spring rates all round, for about £1300 fitted ...great quality, but the only thing I can say is that its going to be a firmer ride...not necessarily better or faster across the same stretch of road
firstly, what do you want to achieve by changing from the factory set-up? personally I find it just fine for general spirited road use, and not bad for the (very) occasional track day. If I were to track the car more often then Id start looking at getting stiffer set-up...particularly with sticky track tyres fitted
what do you want it to be like ? less roll in the corners on track? more compliant (softer) on road?
Just go to a good supplier thats experienced with motorsport and develop/setting up cars, tell them what you want to achieve, spend a morning on a track with one of their guys and a few sets of springs on some best guess shock valving, then come away a happy man ...your own set-up, and probably no more expensive than a factory kit ...if you can be bothered with the hassle
....or of course just drive a car with the factory (or Prodrive) kit fitted and see which you prefer, then go for that - the hard work is done for you
...just fitting an aftermarket set of springs/shocks that a supplier has taken a best guess at, in my experience, is not the way to get a great handling car
I'm currently looking at the Nitron Racing Shocks originally developed for the N24. They do 3 spec levels ranging in price from £1500-£3000 and you can specify Eibach springs for an extra £95. The beauty is they are adjsutable, so you can tune the ride how YOU want. Having spoken to Nitrons engineers they tell me that you should see a more compliant ride even with a stiffer setup as they have significanly less friction than the standard dampers.

1 way Nitrons are more than adequate - Ive had them on a couple of cars unless you are racing and have a chassis engineer to help you set up some 3 ways Edited by Akers on Monday 16th March 15:46

Id be happy with some of those and at a guess some one-ways should be like £1500 fitted then a full geometry check/ride height set-up on top for a few hundred depending where you go

I am leaning towards the 1-way adjustable 'Sports' shocks with Eibach springs and seeing if it's possible to get the uprated anti-roll bar bushes and lower arms that come in the AM sports pack from my local AM dealer.they mean that they are adjustable within a range, given the valving/springs fitted
