Thinking of using Works Service for my DB9 first annual service. Any thoughts whether this will add value when re-sale time comes around?
I use them for warranty work and will be using them for servicing.I recently put a post up regarding servicing costs and Works were cheaper than the dealer I got a quote from.
They are a nice bunch over at Works and certainly look after you.
Plus you do get a lovely "Prepared by Aston Works" sticker on the windscreen
Just don't buy tyres off them as they can't compete with internet prices and are £150 dearer on average.
For me, yes - it made a difference. I bought a Vanquish S in 2007 and one of the key reasons I bought that car was it had been serviced 4 times by Works Service... I knew it was well looked after (plus serviced on time, every six months)... however, when I tried to sell the car it appeared to make no difference to those interested in the car (and it's still on sale with the dealer, some 25k cheaper!). Depends on the buyer I guess -- it may make the difference to those who know. WS do a great job, perfectly valeted and delivered to your door on a closed truck was a special moment too... all comes at a price though. I read somewhere they charged 80 pounds to put the umbrella back in the umbrella holder... can't be true, can it?

I have found that WS only really supports the resale value of an immaculate example of a car. It is something that anorak (myself being one) Aston fans look for. A good friend of mine has his DB7 Vantage serviced their and says the experience is second to none and that little sticker says it all
