after reading a few threads on here about extending there Aston Martin warranties, i have looked into the alternatives and here is my conclusion,

after contacting various companies so that i could offer extended warranties to my customers i found most would not be interested in exotic cars as they put it, and the ones that would offer extended warranties either the level of cover was very poor (to many get out clauses) or the price is nearly three times that of Aston Martin,

So the best value and cover is the warranty offered by Aston Martin, by far,

there are a few things if you have just bought your car and it was not from the Aston Martin dealer network you will have to wait 90 days before you can apply for the warranty

either contact your local dealer or Jon Watmore the service manager or any of his team at HWM (tel 01932 240611) who you will find very helpful, for more details on the warranty system

thanks for the clarification and invesitgation Rick, thats most helpful...and makes sense really.

To be honest, the AM warranties are not *that* expensive, when they are on par with what similar warranties cost for mid-high range German motors, in comparisone they are pretty good value

Of course, as usual its up to the owner as to whether they think its worth £1200 a year or take the risk, on a 3 yr old Aston.......

i bought my V8V from a Ferrari dealership and they threw in a 6 month warranty starting from when my AM one expires. According to the paperwork this 6 month warranty cost £1150! so, going on that price, £1200 for an AM one doesn't sound too bad. i'm hoping that the 6 months warranty i got free is worth it (it's the same one they give on their Ferrari's so it should be!) as it'd be a shame to throw it away and buy an Aston one if i don't need to.
