Had my car detailed yesterday by Justin from Gleaming Kleen Pictures

Absolutely amazed by the results, first time I have had a car 'detailed' rather than valeted, worth the extra money IMHO. I can't recommend Justin enough. Very professional, and he was obviously very passionate about what he does. I will certainly be using him again. Only problem, I don't want to drive it now! wink

What a great job, same colour as mine and I'm considering a detail too. I drive mine most days and get it quite dirty, then wash it often, but seeing a detail like this makes me realise how well the car can look. Like you though, I'm not sure if I could drive it ever again.

Do you know if the company you use covers the Hampshire area? TIA

Justin, how long can you keep the results of an enhancement detail and what would be the recommended intervals and costs.

What do you about maintaining a car that's been detailed?

Do you wash it normally? Do you top it up with a polish every so often? Or do you detail it every so often as a maintenance regime in itself?

I think that depends on what youve had done and how often you want to spent time on it yourself

As a minimum I would have thought 6 months you need to re-wax, unless you have some long term top coat on there like www.gtechniq.com put on yachts and planes

So you wash the car every month yourself, 2 buckets/mitts etc and just towel dry and it will look near as good and be easy to clean

thats about it really ...certainly all I do with mine and it looks like this

I do have local detailer who even does "monthly maintenance" deals, so like for £60-70 a month he will come around and even do it for you - a full wash, clean, dry, top up wax from time to time ...actually not a bad deal if you are pushed for time yourself and dont enjoy spending 1/2 a day a month cleaning your car wink

Maintaining a vehicle after its been detailed is very easy as it will be much easier to clean. The protection (wax, sealant)should be topped up at least every 4 months.

If you have had a paint correction detail carried out to remove imperfections (swirls, scratches) and wish to keep the finish defect free than a good wash techinque needs to be in place otherwise the paintwork will soon be covered in swirls again.

I do bi monthly and quarterly packages that sees that everything is topped up on each visit, inbetween scheduled visits clients can wash the vehicles themselves if they wanted
