There are a couple on eBay which state that they are genuine AM - anybody got any experience of them? There is one for cars with mounting points and one for those without; does that mean that some Volante's don't have mounting points for wind deflectors?

not sure why they would make a convertible without mounting points for the wind deflector?

up to feb 06 build unless the deflector was ordered at time of build the DB9 did not have the mountings fitted from feb 06 they were installed as standard, i have the vin changeover somewhere would have to find it,

prices on ebay are pre the january price increase so if they are selling at this price it is a good deal

Rick last 6 digits of mine are B03987 - could you advise?

Prices on eBay are £399 or £420 and profess to be genuine

hi loz nice spec, yours is a late 2005 and was not ordered with the deflector as such yours should not have the mounts, prices on ebay are pre the Aston Martin price increase back in january, at that price its a bargain, i couldn't sell them at that price without losing money, especially as they say free delivery as well.

I don't have a DB9, but thought I'd mention you're a proper gent Rick.

More dealers/service agents should be like you - helpful on the forum without ramming your business down our throats.

Good on ya! And I hope you get plenty of business from people on here.

I really would like to thank all the people/customers who have left the great comments and recommendations not just on this thread and site but many others, it really does mean a lot, we will do our utmost to live up to the reputation and strive to better it, being honest i was not sure if i should respond or not(feel quite uncomfortable), but seriously thanks.

As this thread is about retro fitting the wind deflector for the DB9 the labour time for fitting the mounts on the pre feb vehicles is around 8 hours, this must be taken into consideration as it is not really a diy job even though instructions are supplied with the kit,

+1 I Cant see why everyone within a reasonable catchment area wouldnt want an enthusiastic, professional and realistically costed engineer working on their Aston - certainly it appeals to myself

Another thumbs up for Rick you has patiently answered a few questions I've emailed him, without knowing if I would ever become a customer. Great service.

you have to have the mountings fitted which includes cutting holes in the leather, drilling holes and cutting threads basically the whole rear interior has to come out,i would not recommend it as a diy job,
