Both my 4.3 and 4.7 manuals had/have it... three progress bars followed by a roundel to signify shift up!

It appears very high up the rev range .... except for the first 1000 miles, asi t is set slightly lower and then increased by the dealer at the first free service IIRC.

it's above 7000 revs. i thought mine wasn't working at first and then i realised that you have to be at the top of the rev range. it's a really quick 1, 2, 3 red lines and then the limiter is hit. the problem is that i find i'm concentrating on the road and not looking for the 3 red lights but i do see them now i know what i'm looking for at the bottom of my vision.

according to the handbook the limiter kicks in at 7300 rpms. so i wasn't too far off. So, Gatso, rev and rev and rev until you hit 7,300 rpms and you'll see the 3 red lines. once you know what you're looking for and have seen it a few times you'll notice it out of the corner of your eye but it all happens quite quickly!

have fun!

Or on track, when the revs are round that high you don't really have time to look down and see some very dull lights. I just use my ears....!
