I like the rear 3/4s, if a little American. The wheels are nice.

The front has no cohesiveness at all, it looks like a Transformer in mid-transform

Each to their own, I 'spose, but for me it's yummy, a mix of the more agressive, with a goodd chunk of Aston beauty/style thrown in.

Any spec details?

Only what Autoweek say;

"Aston Martin's bid for global supercar supremacy has started at the Geneva motor show with the public premiere of the extremely-limited-edition One-77. Only 77 copies of Aston's $1.75 million flagship will be built, starting in August, with just half a dozen headed for the U.S. market. Powered by a 7.3-liter, 700-hp, 516-lb-ft V12, the 3,300-pound One-77 will run from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed in excess of 200 mph."

I wouldn't say no, but it's not exactly ground-breaking style wise IMHO - just an aggressive looking evolution of the DB9, Vanquish, Vantage silhouette. As much as I love the AM house 'look' I do wish they'd try something a bit more adventurous for future models.

Nice car .... although I can't help thinking the nose should feature a wider grille, making it look it little less like a V8V with a fibreglass flared arches!

Here's one I made earlier! smile Only a subtle change but gives it a wider, squatter, more aggressive look maybe?

Not my favourite design either way but IMO the bigger grill makes it look like a hammer head shark. wobble

Yummy. Personally whilst you can see the DNA is there, I don't think it looks mucn like the V8 / DB9.

I really like the more accentuated taller shape of the grill, harking back to classic models, and those rear lights, which clearly echo the wings of the Aston emblem, are sublime.

Where does the engine come from? Does anyone know any details?

Oh dear.

Distinct lack of cohesiveness in that car. Looks like the front and back were designed by two people who never met each other.

Grille is very Zagato. Not sure that's a good thing. Rear reminds me of something else...I think Porsche of all things.

Maybe it's me. Ferrari seem to think we all want bitsa designs too these days....

For some reason it reminds me of the Merc McLaren SLR - i.e. a bit over the top. We will have to see

I like it, but not the way the lower part of the headlights have the separation in them... yuck, also the sides are a bit too SLR but still very nice. I can't wait to see the next gen replacements for the Vantage, DB9, DBS that incorporate this kind of technology. The current generation Astons have put AM back near the top and I think in the next gen we will really see some amazing things.

Angel - you might be right, but if you look at that front and put in the round headlights of the SLR the similarity is there with the side skirts etc. It is a very "heavy" design. We'll have to see.

I personally think they should have used the funds and efforts on developing the DB9 and AMV8 successors. 77 examples at a million each is neither here nor there in terms of saving AML.

I just don't think it's outlandish enough in the engine department to warrant that price tag, i mean for 1 million + you want a totaly OTT engine of 8 to 9 lites with 850+ hp a real monster

700 hp is an awful lot but in the context of mega mercs etc it's not that extravagant, this kind of reminds me of the viper, i remember when that hit the scene, brutish looks and 8 litre's of V10 muscle it certainly had it's moment in the spot light

For the money this car needed to make a big impact, it's not got the mega performance of a veyron, or the totally wacky out there fighter plane style looks of the reventon, it's just looks like a big pumped up Aston, and that would be ok if it really had an eye grabbing motor under that bonnet, but 7.5 litres of v12 at 700 hp might set tongues wagging at 150k but not at 1.2 million

The old Virage had 600hp in top trim in the 90s, that was a more standout Car IMO for it's time than this thing, that only seems to standout because of it's price tag
