Hello!

I've just made the leap over from the 911 club wink ...picking it up on Saturday, 2007 sportshift coupe, black on black.

I just called AM to check the history and was told the next service was due in October, that's ok, for £1,400, oh. This was Stratstone in London, is that about right? He assured me the service was comprehensive, changing air filters and checking headlight alignment, wow, they really go to town! It's ok tho, just a bit of slap in the face.

I guess my question is, is it worth booking it in up outside the Southeast and making a weekend of it with the missus?

Car is very very sweet by the way, can't wait to get my grubby porky mitts on it.

thats about £600 more than I paid for mine in Grange, Brentwood ! ...and about £800 more than a specialist ...id shop around a bit more, it may be worth a drive out. There used to be a website that compared labour rates of dealers within areas, but Ive lost the link - when I went to get mine serviced the first time 3 years ago nearly now I did a search - Grange were cheapest at £90+vat ish...some of the central London ones were £150 + vat ...on a 5.5hour service that makes up most of the charge - the rest is some oil, filters and a few sundries...and a long check list

Shouldn't be more than 1k unless they're budgeting for tyres/pads etc.

Just paid my bill today for 2 year service which I guess counts as a 20k, although had only done between 10-11k.

Came in at 1,100 quid at Lancasters, just to give you another benchmark
