I have taken the Larini Cats off my supercharged AMV8 because they threw codes P0430 and P0420(Cat efficiency below threshold) ever few hundred miles. I was told this may be due to the unexpected high volume of exhaust flow generated by the supercharger. Even still, I cannot guarantee that they will work on a normally aspirated car. What I can verify is that they are worth 20RWHP and 10RWTQ on my car. Any reasonable offer will be accepted. They cost about US $2K new.

Well the other thing is warranty. I believe that doing anything beyond changing the rear box will result in the warranty being voided. However obviously with the supercharger its voided anyway so who cares. What do you mean by error codes ? I wonder if ESX has put a supercharger on a sportpack 4.7L V8V....Now they need to just develop some good carbon ceramic brakes for it also!

there is a brake upgrade for the v8 vantage and the db9 which increase performance by 24%, better thermal control 18% improvement, the same deceleration speed with 30 % less brake effort, larger front discs, replacement front calipers and rear calipers different pads, the bias on the braking is altered the price would be around £2600.00, aimed more for track and lets say aggresive drivers.

if you run without cats you are going to need some basic electronics rigging up to fool the ECU into thinking the cats are there and doing their job...otherwise you will be driving around with the MIL on permanently and error codes (as above) so you wouldnt know if you really have a problem

to be honest, after having a couple of cars without cats, then going back to a sports cat, the hassles of not having one outweigh the upsides, whereas if you have hi-flow sports cats, you get the benefit of a bit more power but no downsides other than cost(although im not sure youre gonna notice 10bhp from the seat in the 1.6 ton car LOL )

a quality cell for a sports cat is no more than £150, and you need 2, so £300 ...but someone like Larini or Tubi will want £1.5K for priviledge of them welding the flange on each end for you ...personally if thats what you want, just go down to a custom exhaust place and get a couple made up for under 500 notes rather than lining the pockets of the premium guys ....unless money is no object of course smile

RMRMD1956,
Have you gone back to the standard Cats or are you running straight Cat-less pipes now then?

I went back to stock system. A retune netted me 519HP and 378TQ to the wheels. I am very happy.
