Hey guys, will soon be in the Fold with a V8 Vantage, is there a Homelink remote garage/gate opener for AM's or just after market?

Not sure whether it is standard or option on the regular car, but it is built in to the rear view mirror. I think it appeared from MY07?

Optional, not std.

Unless you've got Homelink on your doors already I found it difficult to find a door supplier in the UK who could fit Homelink enabled doors... ordered my old Boxster with the Homelink in preparation, but then ended up getting some doors fitted w/o it - the fob to control them was so small didn't see the need to fork out even more to convert them... just my two cents...

thanks, well i had the factory version on my last Porsche and BMW so the gates and garage are compatible.

so an AM dealer should be able to supply then?

Got reply from my dealer;

"The mirror/homelink unit itself is £363.00 plus Vat and fitting.
However it is only available for a certain 2007 Vin number onwards. Earlier cars cannot be retrofitted with it"

sent VIN to check if mine can have it, do you think it would be a simple DIY?

hi i believe it is from vin C05934 not a difficult job to replace

well my vin is GC04813 and they (Stratstone Wilmslow) said it would be ok, bit worried but will give it a go!

anybody want to ugrade a manual mirror with my auto dimming one?

so the home link unit is part of the rear view mirror?
Where are the three buttons situated? (left, right or center of the mirror)

I'm probably getting an 4.7L Vantage later this year, but homelink isn't an option in my country, so I'm thinking of ordering the part overseas and getting the dealer to install it.

on RHD buttons are on the left of the mirror.
