I was just looking through the history file of my DB7 Vantage and noticed that it's 7 yrs and two days since I bought it (15th Feb 2002 for £79,999), by far the longest time I ever owned anything of any value. How does that compare with others?

Had a MY06 V8V for two years and traded it for my N400 on the two year anniversary. The N400 is likely to stay with me longer though, just because it is different ....

2 years for my Vantage ...longest car I ever owned was my old Elise, which was 6 years/83K miles until I wrote it off frown

I think the Vantage will last me a while - I dont feel like ive got VFM out of a car unless I get it near to 6 figures on the mileage before I sell it and the Vantage has only done 33K so lots of fun to come smile

db9 Volante Manual - 18 months ( 10k ) - never selling, Porsche boxster - 10 years ( 30k miles ) - never selling, Lexus RX300 - 6 years ( 52k ) - wife won't let me sell it ,CLK320 - 5 years ( 30k ) - now worth nothing will only get sold when the credit crunch allows a decent trade in for the wife against a 350SLK/SL.
Do other people get emotionally bonded with their cars and can't face giving them away for peanuts as a trade in's .I just seem to buy a new car every few years and the drive gets more crowded . Can this disease be cured ?

Well, I've now had my Vanquish S for 5 months now and have used throughout the winter (except in the snow biggrin) Planning to keep this one long term though as it's such a classic and such incredibly good fun to go out in.

Just booked in for the first of the 6 monthly services next month. Will be rather interesting hehe

Had a 2006 Vantage, now a 2009 one. Guess that's three years and counting then... longest I have stuck with any one car model, the next closest being my two E46 M3s.

3 months of ownership... bought my 06 V8V about the worst possible time you could buy one, but I have had a smile on my face the entire 3 months so its been worth every penny smile

Don't think so. I have been informed by the better half that the maximum we can have is 5 cars - we have had 6 for a few months now hehe

I've had my V8 Vantage for 3 wonderful and trouble free years on 1st March...so it is an expensive time for me! I cannot think of anything to replace it, so it is now the longest I have kept a car for...fantastic motor! It is weird having this MOT thing, not sure what all that is about...hehe

nearly 4 years into Aston ownership. Its nice to know I'll always own one, regardless of which one it is.

1 year for me and I dont see any change on the horizon. I might ask for a deal on an N400 roadster this summer but we will see.
