How much off list on a Aston?
Discussion
I have been hearing stories of people getting 40% off list on new Aston's surely this is just rubbish? It was on another forum. I have a friend of a freind who works for Aston who says they are discounting new cars between 15-20%!
What do you guys think is feasible? My brother is looking for a AMV8 coupe, he is looking at 2nd hand at the moment but if the discounts on new are substantial then may go for one.

40% saving, that's bks
The biggest savings have been on pre-owned Aston Martin factory owned car which have been sold to the dealers very cheap. They have been sold on very cheap.
e.g. 08' reg roadster sold for £55k (saving of £40k).
Biggest saving that I have seen via AM dealers are approx 25%.

I also agree - on a brand new car it's bks. Someone's been watching re-runs of the Top Gear where James May quoted such figures (the mop haired muppet).
That said...
HWM have some new unregistered 4.3s that they're labelling "V400s". They come with sportpack wheels, and the power upgrade plus freeflow cats and I believe the sticker price is 75k. This is probably 15kish off the original new price of the 4.3, or say 20k or so off the price off the 4.3 plus the bits.
If I were wanting a new car now, it would make think twice before plumping for a 4.7.
Still isn't 40% though.

i am sick of this kind of discussions - cant you guys just have fun with the cars you buy instead of having fun about how much you can squeeze out of a dealer...?
What a ridiculous thing to say. Do I take it that you + whoami paid the sticker price for your cars then ? I'd be very surprised, yet you consider it unreasonable for others to want to negotiate, or discuss negotiations.. and if one is handing over that amount of money, why can't the negotiations be fun too ?Sounds morelike you don't want to hear of your potential depreciation ?

i will make it easy for you:
i paid full *sticker* 145.000 Euros for my Roadster - the dealer took my old XKR convertible back for the price the leasing company asked for - then he rent me a A V8V Coupe for a decent monthly price for 18 months until the new Roadster arrived......
I didn't asked for nothing - i just asked if the above is economical doable for him and now i got a wonderful V8V Roadster for a decent monthly rate and i have just to give him (the dealer) the car back after 3 years - that's the advantage of contract hire and not to squeeze your dealer - oh i forgot he lend me a new DBS to go on the *Ring* too
PS: its to live and let live

This is a DISCUSSION forum, if you have a problem with the question stay out of the thread
A somewhat ironic contradiction?
