So only having had the car less than 3 weeks I've had the manual inside the house but thought today I'd put it back in the car where it belongs.........but I can't find anywhere to put it confused

There isn't enough room in the glovebox or the door pockets, so where is the best place to keep it ?

Cheers

Mine is kept in the glovebox. To make it fit I have to tilt it slightly; but once in, there is no room for anything else. I have heard that some keep it under the passenger seat, but never tried.

same here - it would appear that the "glove-box" should really be called "manual cupboard" as that is all that fits in...well, maybe you can fit a ballpoint pen in too wink

Or maybe it's called a glove box as all that fits in it are gloves and nothing else... hehe

please be careful if storing things under the seats, as there are numerous wires and connections, some of which are for the airbag system, so if disturbed may require a trip to dealer or specialist to reset or repair.

There is some elastic in the boot where I have wedged my battery conditioner, I reckon the manual would go there?

As pointed out elsewhere in this thread, its really a case of the Glove Box being used for the Gloves (Wife's that is!), so mine is tucked away in the seat pocket behind the drivers door.

I would honestly recommend that you wrap the manual in something to protect & store it in one of the following four places:

1 - Under the seat
2 - In the rear parcel shelf (I have a small box from ikea for bits & pieces that works well
3 - Behind the passenger seat (as mentioned)
4 - In the Rear Boot

The reason being, if you have any kind of battery drain or electronic failure, you will not be able to open the glove box, that's when your going to need your manual the most.
