Anyone have a view on the value for money or otherwise of taking out an extended warranty for £1250 on a soon to be three year old V8 vantage.

no-ones owned one for 5 yrs/60k miles yet to make a judgement ...theres what...5000 cars out there worldwide, how many are coming up to 4 years, and how many have even broke 20K miles yet? ...a few maybe wink

personally I havnt bothered, as with any warranty/insurance, its a gamble ...you may pay it for 2 years, have nothing go wrong, then the 1st year you dont bother with it, you need a gearbox rebuild ....

I think it depends on your intended use/mileage too - if you do 3K miles a year, its a bit different to 20K miles a year, for the latter, Id be paying for the warranty

actual price wise - well its on a par with top-end German run of the mill stuff, so £1250 is a fair price

I think £1250 is very reasonable.... mine is an 06 and the warranty is up in August I think... I normally don't take warrantys etc, but on one of these I am not going to hesitate for £1250.... if ANYTHING goes wrong it costs more than this smile
