I've always been anal about ensuring my car is in tip top mechanical condition and it's generally better to do this when the car is still within manufacturers warranty to avoid the worst of the bills!

To this end I would be curious to learn what specific problems owners had encountered with with their cars and/or what has been rectified under warranty - this can be mechanical or otherwise (interior/exterior trim etc), anything at all really?

It would also potentially serve as a fault check sheet perhaps - what do you think?

Rear light clusters are sealed units,I had what i thought was a bulb out..!!Quick bulb replacment, job done..! No Needed the hole cluster over £300+VAT +Fitting, However the cluster had slight condensation in it so was replaced under Warranty,so keep your eyes open for condensation before your 3 years are up.I have to say i have found Aston as good if not better than any of the big manufacture's.

I've had the following recently done:

Water Ingres in fuse box removed (although this has come back and given me some weird electrical gremlins like crazy windscreen wipers)
Gearbox upgrade for clunky 1st,2nd gear
Oil leak fixed
Drivers side door handle not sitting flush
Rattle from steering wheel (air bag loose)

Awaiting:
Passenger side door seal replacement for excess wind noise
Wheel hub rust ALL wheels
Wheel hub centre cap corrosion ALL wheels
Handbrake rubbing on drivers seat

Has the handbrake scuffed the seat? What did the fix entail?

Mine's had brake wear sensors replaced and going in next week to have very small bubbles on door handles sorted. Apparently it's common and they are painting both doors to get a good match. Have to say the service I have received from Brooklands Aston in Leeds and helpfulness of Richard the service manager, has been exceptional and given me complete peace of mind in owning the car.

Farting noise cured (on the car, not me. I still suffer). Oil pressure relief valve changed.
Reverse light switch reconnected (was shorting on).
Gearbox mod to ease shifting.
Driver's door handle not fitting flush.
Slight oil leak.
Boot seal sorted to stop it tipping water into the boot.
Leather at front of dash wrinkling.

Will be getting the coloured rings on the valves changed too as they've faded.

All have been kind enough to happen close to service time and were sorted without issue. None were a major problem nor prevented use.

The handbrake rubs on the seat and has scuffed it yes. I'm awaiting to here the outcome of my complaint and will let you know.

Great. Do AM usually take a while to respond to warranty queries?

I had the engine replaced on my 55 plate Vanquish S about 2 years ago. AM were very decent about it but it did take a while to complete the change. In the meantime they tried to fob me off with a 4 door c class merc (not a bad car but hardly an appropriate courtesy car,IMHO of course)and in the end we almost fell out over it. However, happily back in the AM fold again now.

PICKED MY VANTAGE UP FROM STRATSTONE WILMSLOW £850 INC VAT FOR YEAR 3 SERVICE INCLUDING MOT. LESS PAINFUL THAN SOME PORSCHE SERVICES IN THE PAST.FIXED UNDER WARRANTY WERE THE INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT GEAR CHANGE NOW SO MUCH BETTER.TWO NEW REAR SHOCKERS BECAUSE ONE STARTED TO LEAK A LITTLE.BRAKE SQUEAL SORTED,NEW DOOR HANDLE[OUTSIDE].HOLDING JUDGEMENT ON OCCASIONAL WINDOW DROP PROBLEM FOR A FEW JOURNEYS.
THE SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT AND MY VANTAGE FEELS SO MUCH BETTER FOR THE GEAR FIX.
EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR FOURTH YEAR COMES IN AT £1240 IF YOUR CAR IS STILL WARRANTED HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE THIS AND TAKE NO CHANCES.I SUPPOSE A YEAR FROM I WILL KNOW IF IT WAS VALUE.
THIS IS STILL BY FAR THE BEST FEELGOOD CAR I HAVE OWNED ,SOD THE 20 GRAND GONE IN A YEAR AND THE BRIDE SAYING HAVE A DIESEL GOLF, GO GREEN MY ARSE!

oh, one more thing.

I had what I can only describe as the sound of a canary tweeting away in the engine. Apparently, it was a pulley bearing / spacer which needed upgrading. Common on the MY07. All done under warrenty.

My list is similar to the above

Squeaking brake pads (pads chamfered)
Oil pressure release valve (no more farts)
Stiff 1st and 2nd gear change (oil and selector)
Boot lid mod to stop water running inside

but also

Boot lid was rubbing paint on rear bottom panel (adjusted)
Bluetooth system replaced to eliminate intermittent speaker cut-out

When the car was first started up at the dealers it did exhibit a "chirping" from the engine bay. I've not noticed it since but then again the cabin is well insulated. I thought at the time it may be a belt or bearing problem - I'll get it checked out when it's at the dealer.

Thanks.

hi m33ufo, there is a mod for fead belt noise which usually occurs when the engine is cold, i am sure your dealer will be aware, as it is a common fault.

That's great. It was only apparent for a couple of mins initially so that's probably it.
