Hi everyone

I was wondering what the difference is between the bright finish grille and the standard grille on the AMV8?

Does anyone have any pictures of both versions for me to have a look at preferably on a black car.

Thanks

Trev

Bright's shinier.

No pictures of both side by side - my car's black and has the bright finish. Looks good on darker cars IMO.

I went for the bright finished grill 2nd time around, the standard grill looks fine, but can look like a black maw in dark conditions, bright grill stands out more & better balances the large dimensions on the grill IMO... hope these two give you an idea, but you will find dozens of examples in the Aston used car search section

Can you not get a mesh grille?

Oh no frown

I'm sure one of the aftermarket companies do them, but it'd look awful in such a large space IMO.

Glad someone else said that... drives me crazy. Can anyone suggest the best compound to get it shiny? Ta.

Aston have used plastic grilles in the past.

T-Cut is very good or Autosol/Autoglym Metal Polish which also leaves a protective residue. A toothbrush handy for applying it to the mesh itself.

My old Maserati grille which was quite tarnished beforehand:
