Hi Chaps,

I'm new to PH and keen to get some insight from AMV8 owners.

I’m looking to purchase and keen to get opinions on the "open exhaust conversion" and the potential to annoy neighbours.

The car I have in mind has the exhaust conversion carried out.

My greatest concern is the early morning startup for the work run, as the car will be parked outside a small apartment block and I’ve a hill to drive up at the bottom of the road. Being the envy while also becoming the pariah of the neighbourhood is not top of my 2009 wish list.

I guess the easiest option would be to buy it and see how it goes but was keen to get views first.

Thanks and Happy Xmas.

Go up the hill with your foot to the boards.
It'll piss them of but be over quickly.

I found that creeping about (high gear/low revs) in a 350 Camaro on Cherry Bombs triggered every vibration alarm for miles.

Brilliant.

If by the exhaust conversion you mean the infamous Fuse22 removal (or the dealers 'offical' version) then you should have no problem at all - it's still easy to pootle about making no disturbance.

I actually knocked on my neighbours door once I had it done to tell them to let me know if it disturbed them as they have a young child.. and they've had no issue with it.

Rich. (yes -it's Xmas morning, but I'm awaiting the in-laws and this is better than prepping the veg biggrin )
