Am going to see this car tomorrow having test driven one the same this morning.

Seems quite keenly priced to me ?

Any thoughts ?

That should satisfy your headroom criteria too!

I have now reserved this one subject to seeing it on Wednesday morning and them bringing another one down to my house tomorrow afternoon to ensure it fits in my garage (this one doesn't have the electric folding mirrors frown However, from some of the measurements I got it shoudl be OK........

All being well pick up on NYE........

Should I be worried this has the 4.3 and not the new 4.7 litre engine........?

Scott, I read the issues you had when trying to get a Gallardo, have Aston Martin offered you a better price for your 911 or have you not discussed them details yet?

Depends if you are 20k+ worried!

The 4.3 is still a quick car. And as you're looking at the hairdresser version it shouldn't matter as much biggrin

Shame about the mirrors. Be clear on all other options on the car when comparing like for like.

I'm looking at a similar car for the girlfriend, what sort of discount can I expect to be able to haggle given the current state of the car market?

Better deal all round smile

Everything is agreed subject to the car fitting in the garage and me seeing the actual one I'd be buying......

No smile it doesn't make a difference when the hood is down and sounds better (with fuse 22 pulled) than a 4.7l (Sorry Grant) wink

Just buy one with folding mirrors.

There are plenty of cars out there, so buy one with the right spec wink Small things matter (car I tried today didn't have the auto-dip mirror for example. Didn't look as nice as the auto-dip!).

just tell them that you require electric mirrors if you are to have the car. Just watch how they can fit them then, certainly a dealer offered retro-fit to me for a car I was interested in. AM dealers are motivated to sell cars, a 24 hour test drive was offered to me. There are some very good dealers out there.

Just a thought and maybe I am reading this wrong but if the car does not fit in your garage unless the mirrors fold how will you get in and out of the car when it's in the garage?

Door openings are usually a good bit narrower than the internal dimensions.

The Aston's doors open slightly upwards thus needing less space to get in and out too.

Fair point but if this is going to spoil the deal I would look at the costs and options of a different garage door. I put roller shutters on mine as they fit on the inside of the opening and need no casings as lots of other up and over doors do, plus they are a lot more securer!

Changing the garage door is an option but will only gain me about half an inch which is not enough to make it worthwhile. The up and over door is already electrified so fairly secure.

I've had a Gallardo in the garage which I could just get out of, and hoping the Aston will be better. Opening is 7'1", internal is 8'3"
