Hi guys,

I'm new to this so please be gentle wink

I've been looking at a couple of Astons recently and the Vantage has got me weak at the knees!
The only problem is, I'm quite a girly-girl and have been driving my 996 for the last 3 years but am now bored of it and I just looove the sound of a V8!

I've not received much abuse in my 996 but I'm aware that the Aston is widely known as a MAN's car.

What does everyone think? A Vantage or something more "girly" for my next toy? x

Gets a thumbup here. Compared to the lovely ladies here tooling around in Diablos and Cerberae a V8V is rather genteel, anyway. tongue out

The thing about the Aston, it's not about the driver at all, it's all about the car. Buy one, drive one & enjoy one.

Nowt wrong with it. My finacee has driven by DBS V8, she will drive my DB7 when I get it, and there are plenty of Woman drivers (and racing drivers) of Astons. If you want it, go for it!

Wouldn't let the Wife drive my cars.......You're all bonkers

She's got her own DB9 thanks though she's only managed to clock up 400 miles in a year.

My other half loves driving the Aston. Would never go near my old 355, but loves the V8V.

Go for it, and don't worry what others think.

That made me laugh out loud and the missus frown.

Anyhow, you can't get a more male car than an evo6 and the wife drives that just fine.

She just laughs at the dropping jaws when she leaves them for dust.

My wife gets lots of admiring glances when she drives the Aston. Go for it.

Are you suprised at the responses. I totally agree, a girl driving a mans car..."hello there!"

The wife always gets good comments/glances and although a few Audi/Beemer types try and race her, (she is far too mature to race people, unlike me!) the loves the time in it. Apart from the handbrake (she just cannot get on with that fly off, wrong side thing) she finds it as easy as our 996 we had before.

Is this question a wind-up or what?

Abuse is not something you get in an Aston (see numerous threads on this one over the years). And girls in Astons...ahem, frankly, for a good 50% or so of the population that's damn near close to heaven...

Go for it girl - it's a great car. Just make sure you remove fuse 22!

Did you often get people assuming that the Porsche was "your boyfriend's" rather than being bought by you? If so, did it annoy you?

I think that is the only potential downside of a lady owning a "man's car" - that sexist assumption
