Is there anything to look out for in terms of spec/colour etc that massively affects the price of a very recent DB9? I've been offered a low mileage, six month old manual MY09 car with sports pack at what seems to be, on the face of it, a price that is 'too good to be true'.
Just really wondering if there's stuff (other than it being a manual!) that has a huge hit on the resale or whether it could genuinely be a case of someone needing to get rid and being prepared to take a _huge_ hit
I'd also be interested if anyone knows any actual buy/sell prices of late model DB9s recently
Oh and in the absence of a buyers guide, is there much to check/look out for on a test drive? Obviously with manufacturer warranty lasting another 2 1/2 years i wouldn't be too worried but thought i'd ask...

Re your questions regarding the DB9
It needs to have the Sports Pack and I would avoid Reds but apart from that the 470bhp is considerably better than the old engine.
Nothing technical to look out for as these are now all sorted and, if you have 2 1/2 yrs warranty left that should inspire confidence etc.
Looking on the net these can normally fetch £90-100K so depending on the deal you are being offered if it is better than this then I would take it.
Also, is it from a Dealer? I would avoid private sale.
Hope this helps.

The db9 is a well sorted car. I have had mine for almost 4 years now without any problems. The MY09 facelift was not enough to make me change "up". The 20 more horsepower doesn't really make any difference. Sport Pack gives you a firmer and more pointed ride but even here there are pro's and con's. For normal GT cruising the standard set-up (which is by no mens soft) appeals to most buyers and the SDP pack lowers the front further which is low in the first place. Manual is an option and very rare so come resale that could actually be a plus as there are not many around, but the touchtronic gearbox is the best compromise. High mileage would not be a drawback as these cars benefit from being used. Given that there are 2.5 years left on the warranty and the fact that it is a well proven car I would have no reservations buying privately saving you 5-10k in the process.
The db9 is a great car - all in my opinion of course.

Should I buy one?
We’ve previously described the DB9 as a gentleman’s hot rod. The Sport pack simply makes it even hotter and all the more enjoyable.

hehe, you think i've got money to burn? wasn't me I'm afraid
(looked at the xk for my wife, has even less room in the back than the db9!)
Hoping for decent weather on Monday as I'm off to drive it - doesn't seem much point if its chucking it down though as i won't be able to give it a proper drive.
Anyone know of manual DB9s that actually sold recently? I'd be interested to know what price they're actually going for and if they hang around for a while. I guess most people want the auto which is really my only concern: if I decide in six months time that its a bit too GT for me, will anyone actually want to buy it...
