My 06 V8 Vantage has a Parrot MK3100 bluetooth kit installed. Seperate mic and from what I can tell a seperate speaker module, i.e. not wired to the audio system. It's ok but I would much rather upgrade it to something that allows playback of conversation over the car speakers and handles the interuption of the audio when a call comes through. The audio isn't a clear as it should be I would suspect down to the quality of the 1 speaker.

Wonder if the vantage audio system supports this feature and what everybody else is getting fitted, apart from the obvious optional extra bluetooth which mines hasn't got.

A lot of Parrot kits have the option of using the cars speakers or a seperate speaker. My old company car had a (think it was a) 3100 fitted and I asked the guy to wire it up via the car audio, (we are only talking 4 months ago here). He did this without any bother. It needed an part (wiring), don't know how much it costs, probably not a lot. It also mutes the audio when a call comes in.

Take a look here for the installation instructions, etc ... http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/onlinehelpguides/...

You can probably get any parts you need direct from Parrot (via their website) or, possibly, from www.expansys.com

There is a wiring solution available. It allows muting of the speaker system and audio feed via the front speakers of the hands free kit.

We also have a kit that allows the control of a Parrot CK3100 from the factory fitted steering wheel controls (for Bluetooth cars).

We would normally supply a whole kit for the car to comply with the stringent control issues we have to undertake to obtain the information from the factory to enable us to design and build the kits, however feel free to email or call to discuss individual requirements. Personally I really want a hassle free solution to the hands free issue in Astons. When I check installs on vehicles fitted by other people, I have in the past removed everything and started from scratch. Yes, Pedantic, but replacing an amp in a 950W surround sound Linn setup retails at £4500.00. I don't fancy that bill.

We also have an Ipod solution available, wired via the MOST system, with control via the ICM.

I guess my ramblings will elicit interest from the moderators suggesting that I am advertising. To a certain extent I am, however, I am passionate about working on these fantastic vehicles. If I can save people from hassle and unnecessary expense, even if I do nothing to their vehicle, then so be it.

Thank you for reading.

Kind Regards

The Parrot kits will work in the connect, however you will require an adaptor lead. This is called a SOT -092 (SOT=Sound over Telephone). These should be available on Ebay for about £10. Don't pay much more... Let me know roughly where you are in the country and I can put you in touch with a professional installer.
