My car has arrived. I took my wife for a ride right after delivery. As we pulled through 3rd gear to redline, the g's kept building and she screamed. She claims we became airborne but I assured her it was not so. This car is now fast and a turbo competitor! My wife does not usually scream. Not in cars anyway!

430 is SAE corrected at the wheels. Who knows what that means at the crank. It only made 302 at the wheels before the supercharger. The company has found all the V8V's they have done are between 290 and 310 at the wheels. These are all US cars and run VERY rich up top. I do not believe the US cars make 380HP stock. More like 360HP. I believe the motor will make 380HP with a proper tune. I bet AM has deliberately richened US cars as a safety measure, given out "colonial" and "litigatious" tendencies! Anybody Dynoed their UK car on a DYNOJET 248??

I have analysed my car stock and now with the supercharger using the GPS based accelerometer AX-22 from Race Technology. I am not a professional and have below average driving skill, so keep that in mind when you see the data. The results:

.................Stock.....Supercharged
0-60mph...........5.25..........5.0
0-100mph.........11.75..........9.35
0-200Kph.........18.7...........13.8
0-130mph.........20.4...........15.5

60-130mph........15.15..........10.5

60ft..............2.47...........2.58
1/4.mile.........13.6...........12.97
1/4.mile.speed....108mph........120mph

The supercharged car should be capable of
high 11's with the correct tires and driver.

Here is the video of the crappy launch that provided the data.

the 0-100mph time is whats most interesting in the real world and its nice to see a good improvement there, and like you say - thats just with a regular driver and not a lot of practice...what really matters smile

It looks like a decent kit - I think its $15K isnt it? ...which will be about £15K by the time its over here

Im sure if they get a UK based distributor/fitter they will get some customers over here too, of course people will expect something like a 1 yr unlimited mileage warranty on it too for that price, thats what all the other conversion companies over here offer....and a pretty safe bet, considering not many people do like 10K miles per year plus in them wink

Good photos, and the curves look as you'd expect.

Out of interest, can you still get the oil cap off? Looks very tight.

I was also wondering how you might do other mundane stuff like changing the plugs. But then looking at the stock car that doesn't look that straightforward!

Was the all up price 15kUSD? If so, that sounds like good money.

Have you done anything with the brakes?

Sounds like traction might be starting to be an issue too. Did you get the traction light blinking?

Edited to add - looking at the clip, traction's definitely a problem biggrin Have to say, that looked very good. Same sort of sound as normal but quick. Have you tried any runs starting in 2nd?

Price is more like $25K depending on what you want. That includes install and custom tune. Yes you can get the oil cap off easily. They carefully considered all the placements but I too have wondered about the plugs. I'll have to ask. Brakes are stock as I just drive on the street(never track). I upgraded the clutch to a custom ACT clutch and pressure plate with more bite.
Oh, I turned traction control of for the launch. You can see me smoke the tires for a second, then I let off a little, then said "F*** It" and just nailed it.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all the kind words regarding our ESX Super Vantage Aston Martin and our supercharger systems!

I believe I have spoken with some of you via telephone and email, however if any of you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact me directly via email:

Ali@esxmotorsports.com

Also, in the current issue of Modifeed Luxury & Exotics magazine, there is a 7 page feature covering ESX Super Vantage #001. It has a lot of details and pictures and paired with the performance information on this thread, you should have a very comprehensive review of our newest line of ESX vehicles.

ESX Super Vantage #001 as featured in the magazine is the only sport shift, roadster we have built. It's a 2008 Tungsten silver with black top, black interior with silver stitching. Currently the car is for sale and it's being offered at a tremendous discount. Full price for this car would be 174K and we are asking 126K.

Thanks again and please feel free to contact me if you need any further information regarding ESX and/or our Aston Martins.

Keep Boosting!!

mmm...I guess the big problem in the UK right now, with the exchange rate and used car market, is how many people will want to spend near £20K tuning up a £40K car frown

Do a run with TC on. It would be interesting to see what happens smile

Car has performed flawlessly. ESX deserves a huge thumbs-up for their kit. I had some 'idiot light' issues with my aftermarket Cats and Ali flew Dan, coast to coast, to my house to fix the problem! I cannot say enough about their attention to detail and customer service. They are a class organization!
I've put on about 1K miles now. It is as strong as my previously modded GT2. I am VERY happy.

Have you tried a timed run with tc on?

That is a massive amount more power and torque. It'll be interesting to hear how the engine/gearbox/chassis cope. Hopefully you'll be doing plenty of miles in the next 12mths (just in time for me to be thinking of changing, or modifying, cars smile).

If you don't turn TC off the ECU cuts power but it is poorly controlled and takes time to recover. It does not work like LC and is much clumsier. Better to turn it off and use your right foot to modulate wheelspin in the lower gears.

Ahhhhhh.

I would guess therefore that low speed acceleration isn't much better then. But there will likely be gains above 70-80mph? Traction looked to be "interesting" in your previous video. With another 80bhp I can imagine it being very interesting!
