Hello all,i saw a vanquish for the first time in the flesh a fortnight ago while collecting my new bmw z4m coupe, instantly fell for her from 100 yards.so went back and bought the beastly thing last week.2004 14000 miles in black,And now i want to replace the wheels with some more 11"x20" items as the tyres are about shot.
What do people replace them with and what offsets i believe thee 120mm pcd?
i'm also thinking of the Kahn interior mod as i'm not too sure on the console and want to brighten the black and grey up.has any one had it done?
i would also like to change the rear light clusters will any others models fit?
are there any other after market kits and parts available to dress her up in?

dose any one have any good contacts for parts suppliers, ,breakers and motor sports
look forward to a future meet.

I've yet to see any Khan stuff that improves on the base car.

All personal opinion of course.

One of the reasons for taking her present boots off.But i dont want to go back to small standard size, color or style eather, and would prefur some shiny shoes
As for the sad silver plastic radio surround it just looks so shapeless, cheap and nasty ,my seats are grey and black i find it dark and depressing, Where as Kahns interior has the alacantara, splash of red(or any other color), aston embost badge white(or any other color)and perferations to break the dull bland interior up.
I havnt seen another vanquish yet so cannot comment on the lowerd suspention,

Might be worth checking on the AMOC site. I wonder if DB9 wheels would fit.

On the interior, have you considered talking to Works Service. I'm sure they could sort whatever you wanted (have seen a V8 done with Alcantara - looked good).

www.amoc.org

Bit staid in places, but lots of people posting.

Be careful putting bigger wheels on than standard. Can screw other things up (like the handling).

You should have bought a Corsa, all these mods would look great on a Corsa

Oh dear it seams i found a forum with normal Norman who choose to GO WITH THE FLOW .i prefer to take a great car and modify it to my tastes, witch are NOT cheap tacky looking plastic dashes and boring colors,i believe the wheels ,interior body wok are all equally important so do millions of others otherwise there wouldn't be such a market in alloy wheels
I bought the 1st VANQUISH i saw looked at it for less than 5 minutes without knowing any thing about it,viewing others, umming and airing, driving it,or even sitting in it.because of its beastly looks including the 20x11rear wheels and its lowered stance, twin bullet stripes paddle shifts and v12.not knowing it wasn't std. now i intend modifying some things on it i disslike. most main streem manufacturers offer options to personalise cars on purchase,or use companies like Tickford, snitzer, ghia, carllson, brabus, pinifarini, abarth, bertone,.zender etc etc,i also like to break the norm a bit.thats why my new z4m is getting boddy and color mods right now.my birds slk was body modded at less than 2ooo miles,as is my 07 tuscan, mv agusta ,buell, navara and so have most of my toys..
EVEN Q MODS ASTONS DONT SEE YOU COMPLAINING THERE DO WE?

froggie: IMHO i agree with you on the cheap looking plastic interior - go alcantara - it will look cool BUT pay attention to wheels - its hard to find good looking wheels for a classic like the Vanquich......

As for the Corsa comments - just fu***** ignore them...;)

Remember that when a manufacturer specifies wheels for their car, they will have taken in to account the fact that it weighs two and a half tons and does 200 mph. The manufacturer of some after market wheels may well not have done so. If you go too low profile on the tyres, you will ruin the ride as well as incurring potential heat dissipation issues if you drive it very quickly.

You could fit Vanquish S wheels as part of a sports dynamic pack with all of the benefits to steering, suspension and brakes.

One would hope so. However, 3 out of the 4 wheels on my car have fractured over the past year or so and the car manufacturer doesn't recognize this as a problem, let alone their responsibility.

Here are some pictures of two Vanquish interiors that we have done recently.

I know some of our stuff isn't everyone cup of tea, but I really think these are a massive improvement over the original plain black interiors....

Will put up some wheel pics in a minute

love the interior will have to come down to kahn again soon,(was in york today nearly came over).the rsv wheels look great on mine (size wise). especially as its lowered, is black and has the twin bullet wing trims as in the picture.the wheels id like would be with a deep dish to emphasize there width or dear i say it? jap style wide rim, probably black chrome or stainless rims.

I hope to keep offsets balanced not too keen on the *s" style alloy, although the swap sounds to have advantages ,mine has had suspension mods hope fully a progressive spring as yes the 285 30 and 255 35 series tyres are a lot harder ride wise due to less flex in the tyre wall than the std size witch in turn has disadvantages in tyre roll on corners but can help put grip down (as in drag tyres).as for dissipating heat the tyre should be speed rated so i don't think this would be a real issue,AS for wheels cracking sounds bad,i do hope you get back to the manufacturer, (fit for purpose etc laws,Ive got merk at court at the moment).were they Italian manufactured? my and others MV Augusta wheels have gone porous, typical eye tye "nice design crap manufacturing" std ,i deal with large Italian castings all the time, may be they should make Aero and Flake bars in there foundries.(cad buries must make a fortune out of selling fresh air)
checked out the AMOC site will be useful source for info ta.quite like HRE wheels

Agree, however I prefer the way the center console is finished in the top pic.

WOW! I am impressed though.

I'm sure that wasn't cheap.

That car is currently available... With the new carbon wheels (or the RSV's if preferred) and the black leather, white stitching with red touches on the seats etc as shown above.

www.v12online.com - click on "current stock" and then "Aston Martin" on the list on the right

That car was Ulrich Bez's car and the only owner on the log book is Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, fully serviced by the Aston Martin factory and featured in Evo magazines "Best of British Supercars" supplement.

We have also changed the following:

front splitter to matt black
rear diffuser, between and around the exhausts to matt black
brake calipers powder coated red
headlamps changed to HID's - massive improvement
light privacy glass
removed all baffles etc from the exhaust

Bit more info on it here:

Cheap free plug I know, but in these tough times...!
