Hi all,

coming from TVR I'm now in the market to buy a 2006/2007 AM Vantage in January 2009.

Budget will be around 40.000 GBP, but being prepared to top it up for the right car/spec.

What's the best place to look for advertisements beside of Pistonheads and Autotrader?

Living in Germany, so online sources or major newspapers would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Christof

Thanks, but I would like to buy in the UK as I prefer a RHD car.

How about autotrader? They require a postcode, though... I'm usually setting it to CM24 1RW which is Stansted airport.

Best sources are Autotrader, PistonHeads and Aston Martin website (cars at main dealers).

A good 56 reg car is currently going to cost around £48k+ and not £40k!!

£40k will buy you a 55reg or 06reg with high miles!!!

That would be my take too, and even then you're unlikely to have a massive choice of spec. A quick skim of www.autotrader.co.uk, searching nationally, only throws up a handful that might be available for 40k.

Though in the current market, who knows.

Don't believe everything you see on Top Gear, nor read in Autocar wink
