............it's too bloody quiet.

Since changing my 4.3 for a 4.7 a few weeks ago, I've had the usual issues eg rattles, vibrations, emissions warning light, keeps losing the Bluetooth connection etc.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

However, the most annoying thing about it is that, for whatever reason, it's definitely a lot quieter than the old 4.3 was.

That's a bad thing.

So, has anyone got any experience of aftermarket exhaust systems.

I know that a couple of folk on here have fitted the Larini system and are happy with it.

Has anyone got a Quicksilver or Tubi on their Vantage?

I'm not bothered about performance gains (perceived or real) or weight saving, just the sound.

I use the car most days so need to strike a balance between improving the standard sound and bleeding ears.

Thoughts most welcome.

Strange, mines only quieter on light throttle openings, on tick over it is now VERY quiet.. but its loud enough to wake the dead when you gun it roof down! Although they have changed the sound low down, maybe you are loosing some volume higher up the range due to changes to the sound proofing on the coupe?

One other bit of good news it gets louder with a few more miles under its belt, presumably when the system cokes up a bit!

The memory dims, and maybe I'm thinking of the wrong car, but doesn't removing the parcel shelf make quite a difference?

Nothing wrong with Yorkshire lads!
But most that I know are quietly confident, no need to shout they tell it like it is & some are hard as nails, they don't like any "foreign muck" & are refreshingly non PC, Murph me thinks you have a few too many of the Irish blarney genes to be a Yorkie! biggrin

In my opinion the larini changes the sound to much to a italian sound.... thats not what I want from a AM!!! I want that growl so I would prefer a quicksilver supersport which I believe is still quiet enough to cruise on the interstate with and not need ear plugs. Not sure about the tubi

Not wishing to fan the flames wink but my other half has chosen the V8Roadster as her new wheels because it is (cough) 'pretty'. I, of course, won't be seem dead in it when it arrives. OH no not me. I won't take it for a hoon or two top down down my favourite road. No no no. Beastly, girlie thing it'll be. Yuk.
