Whats the difference between a DB9 and a Vanquish ??
Discussion
Best bet is to read up on it here:
www.astonmartins.com
You will find all the information on there. They are vastly different cars.

Driving a Vanquish is an experience not to be missed if you have the chance. Incredible character and a stunning road presence with one of the best exhaust notes on Earth. It's really a DB9 with serious attitude.
But then I'm biased
...aah but you have the Vanquish S ..doesn;t that have a further 60-70odd bhp on the Vanquish's 460bhp ?But then I'm biased
(most jealous - well done sir!)
Heritage:
Vanquish: Last car hand built at Newport Pagnell.
DB9: First car built at Gaydon (mass produced?)
"It takes as long to paint a Vanquish as to build a DB9" - Anon Newport Pagnell employee
Number built:
Vanquish: 2578 (per astonmartins.com)
DB9: about 1600-1800 sold each year (although not right now!)
Gearbox/Clutch:
V: Manual gearbox with F1 paddleshift (Clutch wears out fast if incorrectly used in slow moving traffic)
DB9: Either manual or auto with an over-ride (means clutches last alot longer)
Engines: Fundamentally the same in different states of tune.
Noise: Vanquish the best sounding car ever built. DB9, erm, not the best sounding car ever built, but jolly nice nevertheless.
Handling: Vanquish, a bit scary, DB9 a bit wallowy (personal opinion)(DB7 a bit more wallowy)
Reliability: Vanquish; a true supercar. i.e not very reliable at all, all bills potentially huge. DB9; a modern GT. i.e. won't fall apart but will probably have squeaks and rattles and irritants.
Turning Circle: Vanquish: Better to circumnavigate the world than try a 3 point turn on a hill in traffic. DB9, possible to turn around without a degree in operating sequential manual gearboxes with f1 paddle shift.
Relation to DB7: Other than engines and lines of the shape, neither are all that closely related underneath, although Vanquish is closer.
